Notes
The slides simply state "Slater Mill Remains Webster, Mass Aug 66" The identification of the ruined mill building with the Green Mill is tentative. The Green Mill complex was constructed by Samuel Slater in 1813 to spin cotton yarn. By the end of the year he had added a dying facility and he was shipping yarn from Pawtucket to the facility for dying. The mill stayed in the Slater family until sold to the Cranton Print Works.
