Notes
The Italianate red brick Mechanics Mill was built in 1868 along the Quequechan River in Fall River, MA. The cotton textile mill was one of the first in Fall River to be formed with a large number of stockholders (328 initially). Most mills at the tie would only have a dozen or so stockholders. This mill was also one of the first in the city to have a fire sprinkler system installed. In 1929, the mill was merged with the nearby Weetamoe Mill. Along with many of the other mills in Fall River, it was recently part of the Quaker Fabrics Corporation that closed in 2007. Added to National Historic Register in 1983.
