The Deposit Lumber Company consisted of a brick mill on the Delaware River in Deposit, New York. There's a small town on the edge of the Catskills called Deposit. Years ago, loggers would "deposit" their logs into the Deleware River there to float them downstream to mills. Hence, the name Deposit.
