Photograph of the Delaware Aqueduct, also known as the Roebling Bridge. The aqueduct was constructed on the Delaware and Hudson Canal in 1848 to carry the canal across the Delaware River. The photograph shows one of the saddles and a car crossing the bridge.
The aqueduct is located within the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River boundaries and was periodically restored by the National Park Service in the 1980s and 1990s. The aqueduct is a designated National Civil Engineering Landmark.
