Photograph taken from the C&D canal showing the Pennsylvania Railroad lift bridge in the background and an unidentified pipe suspension bridge in the foreground. Due to the high traffic on the canal the bridge is left in the lifted position, closing only for train traffic (approximately 5 times a day). The bridge was constructed by the United States Army Corp of Engineers and gifted to the railroad.
